Stone coated steel roofs are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to concrete tile roofs, especially in Florida. These types of roofs look virtually identical to both barrel and concrete tile roofs but offer the beneficial performance characteristics of metal. Stone coated steel roofs are less expensive than concrete tile roofs. They also provide superior durability, higher wind rating, and weigh significantly less than concrete tile.
